Day 8 (25) – Acts 4

I woke up at 5:45 this am, and thought I need to read, but events get pushing it.  I finally got some time around eating breakfast and I went into Acts 4.

Acts is after the ascension of Jesus into Heaven, witnessed by the disciples.  On Acts 4, Peter and John were arrested by the Sadducees for teaching that Jesus had risen from the dead.

verse 19 should be something we all take to heart – “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than [H]im?” (NLT).

Who are we listening to that tells us to be quiet?  To speak ill of Him?  To deny him?

Peter stood up and was filled with the Holy Spirit.  The same Spirit that is with us today.  Who will YOU serve?
