{"id":139,"date":"2008-09-29T08:50:37","date_gmt":"2008-09-29T14:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/?p=139"},"modified":"2008-09-29T08:50:37","modified_gmt":"2008-09-29T14:50:37","slug":"day-4-2-cor-3-7-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/2008\/09\/29\/day-4-2-cor-3-7-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 4 &#8211; 2 Cor 3: 7-18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reading in Corinthians was the pompting I got last night as I wondered was to study, and as I started with 1st Corinthians 3, I seemed to not see anything, so I tried 2 Corinthians 3- &#8220;Glory of the New Covenant&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Here Paul discusses that the old law, when Moses brough it down, was glorious, as was Moses, as he spoke with God.\u00c2\u00a0 However, Moses&#8217; glory waned as time passed, and from Day 1, I know that is because our flesh foights against the Law.\u00c2\u00a0 However, as glorious as that time when Moses came down, so much more is the fact that the new covenant where the Spirit interceeds to Jesus for us!\u00c2\u00a0 v.12 says we can be bold.\u00c2\u00a0 Since reading that this morning, I realize what the intent is here.\u00c2\u00a0 When we are bold in the Law, we are hypocritical, because <em>no one<\/em> can live up to it.\u00c2\u00a0 However, with the new convenant, bound by God&#8217;s Grace, we can be bold, as it&#8217;s not based on works or service &#8211; but on the fact God loves us so much, Jesus paid our price to again be with the Father.<\/p>\n<p>Verses 16-18 says that when we address our spirit, the veil that clouds our hearts because of the law is removed, we can understand the law, but we are to be governed by the spirit.\u00c2\u00a0 And when our spirit leads us (because it is working with the Holy Spirit) we are changed to be more like Christ.\u00c2\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t say we need to do something, or be a certain way &#8211; but just walk with Him.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, we will be changed.<\/p>\n<p>Who doesn&#8217;t want to be changed to be better?\u00c2\u00a0 I know I do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading in Corinthians was the pompting I got last night as I wondered was to study, and as I started with 1st Corinthians 3, I seemed to not see anything, so I tried 2 Corinthians 3- &#8220;Glory of the New Covenant&#8221;.
