But  that&#8217;s not the worst of it. The network chose one of the most popular animated  children&#8217;s programs (according to the Parents Television Council) to spew their  toxic perversion and sickening content. Keep in mind that this program&#8217;s  popularity ranges primarily from children 2-11 years old.<\/p>\n<p>I apologize about the explicit content of this alert but you must know about  what happened and file a formal complaint now with the Federal Communications  Commission (FCC)! We must demand that the agency which is responsible for the  enforcement of our broadcast decency law do its job.<\/p>\n<p><strong>..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you believe that the bestiality content aired in this program is indecent  and violates the federal broadcast decency law then we urgently need you to take  action now. Unless you act this kind of material could become the acceptable  norm for television.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While I usually look and ignore these, I must raise a 2 specific counter points about the content of this article.<\/p>\n<p>First and foremost, <em>American Dad<\/em>, is not, and should not be considered as a &#8220;family show.&#8221; Any one who some level of intelligence knows there are different targets for animation.\u00c2\u00a0 Disney &#8211; usually family ok.\u00c2\u00a0 Pixar &#8211; always family ok.\u00c2\u00a0 Dreamworks &#8211; mostly family ok.\u00c2\u00a0 Fox Sunday night &#8211; ADULTS ONLY.\u00c2\u00a0 Cartoon Network AFTER 10pm aka [adult swim] &#8211; ADULTS ONLY.\u00c2\u00a0 You see?\u00c2\u00a0 Too many uninformed lump animation into &#8220;it&#8217;s ALL ok for kids.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The most &#8220;opposite&#8221; of this idea is Anime.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s animation, and it&#8217;s not meant for kids &#8211; a la <em>Akira<\/em> &#8211; one of the most celebrated and famous Anime movies &#8211; NOT meant for kids.\u00c2\u00a0 That idea has entered into American animation for a while, yet some refuse to realize it.<\/p>\n<p>This bring me to my second point.\u00c2\u00a0 Censorship.\u00c2\u00a0 In the home.\u00c2\u00a0 Parents being PARENTS.\u00c2\u00a0 I do it in my house.\u00c2\u00a0 I, nor my kids, watch <em>The Simpsons<\/em>, <em>Family Guy<\/em>, <em>American Dad<\/em>, <em>King of the Hill<\/em>, or <em>Futurama<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Even as a geek, I&#8217;m often reminded of &#8220;what I&#8217;m missing&#8221; by not watching <em>South Park<\/em>, <em>Robot Chicken<\/em>, and <em>Aqua Teen Hunger Force<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 About the other thing I really liked in this forte was <em>Afro Samurai<\/em>, mainly because Samuel L Jackson is a bad#%^ and I like stories about ninjas and samurai. I watched it, no kids around, and promptly deleted it off my DVR.\u00c2\u00a0 My DVR has a password for anything over a &#8220;G&#8221; rating.\u00c2\u00a0 Kids know they have to ask to watch what I don&#8217;t approve.\u00c2\u00a0 This is me acting on the fact that as parents, we have to stop using the TV as a babysitter and pay attention to what our kids see.\u00c2\u00a0 I heard a stat that 30% of kids in JUNIOR HIGH are sexting.\u00c2\u00a0 Where do they learn that from?\u00c2\u00a0 Friends, and what every sees on screen.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the Parent Television Council, on their front page, has a call to file with the FCC against\u00c2\u00a0 &#8220;Fox\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s American Dad Features Man Masturbating a Horse&#8221;. In fact, the PTC lists <em>American Dad<\/em> as a red &#8211; or ADULTS ONLY &#8211; show.\u00c2\u00a0 I can&#8217;t find a &#8220;popular children&#8217;s cattoons&#8221; list &#8211; but I do find that the PTC is all about getting kids off the TV and controlling what they watch.<\/p>\n<p>What an amazing concept.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe AFA should alert on that little nugget.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I received this in my inbox yesterday: January 7, 2009 Dear Michael, The Fox broadcast network featured bestiality on the program American Dad that aired over your public airwaves on Sunday night, January 3rd.
