{"id":195,"date":"2010-01-16T19:04:46","date_gmt":"2010-01-17T01:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/2010\/01\/16\/a-revelation\/"},"modified":"2010-01-16T19:04:46","modified_gmt":"2010-01-17T01:04:46","slug":"a-revelation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/2010\/01\/16\/a-revelation\/","title":{"rendered":"A revelation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As our sense of responibilty with regard to our church as grown over the past weeks, I never would have expected what happened tonight. <\/p>\n<p>Our praise team met for a status\/where-are-we meeting and a common thread arose&#8230;  prayer. As we talked about where we were, a realization occured to me. In Revelation, it talks if how the lukewarm are spit out, or cast from the presense of God.  I saw that as a condition much like those that don&#8217;t know Christ &#8211; not sure what try need, separated from God. In my studies of prayer, I know that my prayer for the lost allows the Holy Spirit to work (to convict).  I have come to believe that the lukewarm- the apathetic- those just waiting &#8211; are much in the same need of the work of the Spirit as those that don&#8217;t know Him at all. And the prayer should be the same. My desire for the Spirit to work should be as burdening. <\/p>\n<p>Pray for the apathetic just as one whom is lost &#8211; the Spirit will have to work to remove those hindrances that will lead them back to the throne.
