I added a google-created group of &#8220;geek&#8221; sites and have MAKE magazine as a daily read.<\/p>\n<p>Well, they have a post about the Black Hat seminar in Vegas, specifically about the guy that was the first to hack ID badge that they supplied.  I read the blog of subject of this post, who was blogging from the convention, and saw this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eecue.com\/log_archive\/eecue-log-729-Black_Hat_2007___Day_2___Chris_Paget.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.eecue.com\/log_archive\/eecue-log-729-Black_Hat_2007___Day_2___Chris_Paget.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>My immediate thought was &#8220;wow, now those smart keys are suddenly no issue&#8221;.   Then, &#8220;what would stop the bad guys from using it.&#8221;  I guess having not having it available is somewhat good, but for real use, they&#8217;d need access to the physical key.
