{"id":95,"date":"2008-07-30T09:34:20","date_gmt":"2008-07-30T15:34:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/2008\/07\/30\/streaming-movies-finally\/"},"modified":"2008-07-30T09:34:22","modified_gmt":"2008-07-30T15:34:22","slug":"streaming-movies-finally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/stringer.cc\/blog\/2008\/07\/30\/streaming-movies-finally\/","title":{"rendered":"Streaming movies&#8230; finally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OK, so I&#8217;ve finally worked out the details in getting movies on my PC upstairs to play on my 360 downstairs hooked together via wireless.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m using this guide here:  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.digital-digest.com\/articles\/Xbox_360_H.264_Conversion_Guide_page1.html\">MeGUI for the 360<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>while I could use Windows Media Player 11 to share the media, I also found that TVersity does pretty well, after setting it for using on the 360 (Page 7 of the guide).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s NOT automatic.  I create a d2v file for the VOBs, then a avs file.  Then it&#8217;s pretty automatic.   I&#8217;m using an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with 1GB on DDR400 RAM and a 2.5 hr movies takes about 8 hrs to encode.  <\/p>\n<p>I tested with a dream works movie (about bees) and no jaggies, no skips and it looked crisp on my HDTV.
