The power of prayer

While I don’t usually go too spiritual in my blog, this single thing is weighing very heavily on my heart. I’m calling to you to join me in praying for Eldon and Amanda.

Eldon is a member of my gaming clan: Tactical Warfare. As is turns out, Eldon, aka CeaselessMedic, has a form of OCD that made him unable to function in a “normal” capacity. A medication treatment was working – Eldon grades turned around, he applied to Mensa, had a good social life. On Monday of last week, Eldon father found his son on the floor with a self-inflicted gun-shot wound. It is believed Eldon missed his meds and had a manic episode. The result is major brain damage.

The reports so far have been inspirational. His parents were told the worst last week: you son will never regain consciousness. But he did. He’s got some use of his limbs (fingers mainly) and recognized people. However, he is current fighting infections. Updates are being given via: http://eldonkorson.com/. (You need to sign up to see them). The outpouring of prayer and support is amazing. The parents are putting all the glory to God for the recovery they have seen. It’s a huge testament to power of prayer. And Eldon’s got a long road ahead. Please join me in praying for my friend.

To add, the daughter of one the the EMTs that was first on-scene that Monday was in a car accident and is 3 doors down in the ICU from Eldon. Her name is Amanda.
