Please, please use smart passwords

Some time last night, I had my login to godaddy hacked.  The best cause I can come up with is it was a brute force that got my password on a off chance.  How?  It was a word and a number right after.

I’ve gotten everything resolved – godaddy was very helpful via a phone call – but it’s a lesson will learned.  Use hardened passwords, even for the small stuff.

The result was the 16 domains I run were redirected to some site whose address is in Monserrat (.me).  Not a lot of damage, just annoying – and realtively easy to repair.
