Change

Not a political commentary :).

We’re reducing costs on our TV watching and internet service.  A direct sales rep is getting us Comcast, with and HD DVR, with 16MB/2MB Internet service and voice line for $90/mth.  I’m paying almost 2x as much for all this now, so it’s a welcome change.   This is only for existing customers of satellite service – they calling it a win-back promotion.  Gets installed on 2/8, and I’m well versed in the ways of coax, so we’ll be able to see if things can go better than they do now.  I’m wondering what to do with my DVR when I call dish, so we’ll see.  Also, I need a DVR for the upstairs TV for the kids – I’m going to start researching that.

  1. Dish will ask for their DVR back. They’ll even send you a box and prepaid postage. They’ll ask you for a piece off of your Dish but you can tell them that they’ll need to climb your two story roof if they want it back. They’ll be happy with the DVR only.

Read the fine print closely. Comcrap earned their reputation for good reason. Perhaps they’ve turned it around. We’ll see.
