Following in faith

2010 is the year of change for us. Here’s the latest saga.

I asked off from praise team (lights/video) to go see my sister-in-law sing at their church, Life Community. What I saw blew me away. An awesome service, where the pastors walked through the crowd, praying over those needing healing, and the message was spot on. Music was good and Ressa did a great job. I liked it.

Concurrently, Sheli signed up for a bible study with Ressa, and that Sunday night, they had their intro meet and greet. She came home just completely pumped. Now, we’ve been through things, but Sheli was genuinely excited about her bible study group. A quick discussion and we decided that we needed to see if this was really a direction we needed to follow. I emailed and asked off for an additional month from praise team.

We attended LCC the next Sunday, which was great, but the defining night was Wednesday, Jul 21st. In a message called “The Importance of Love“, the pastor went down the levels of being away from God. The 3rd level just spoke volumes to us – “apathy”. So, over the next Sundays, the pull of the Spirit just allowed us to feel more and more at home. We knew God was leading, but we had such pain in knowing we’d be leaving Clearpoint. But, we had to have faith in the path that we were on.

So, we signed up for their mentoring and their “meet the pastors” class. After the mentoring intro on a Sunday, and having several things placed on my heart about men’s ministry, I knew God was leading us.

So, we have announced that we plan to join Life Community. I have received affirmation that I am going back into sound, including a tremendously warm reception Sunday, as I sat in the booth.

We see God working in and around us. We feel His presence when he Word is presented. Ryan Bell is an amazing musician, as is the rest of the praise team. Pastor Alan and Glen have amazing hearts.

We truly are following in faith.
